TMEA All-Region/All-State

1)  Select the track/path that you will be auditioning for
2) There are two possible tracks: String Orchestra and  Symphony/Philharmonic
3) The String Orchestra Track is All-Region only
4) The Symphony/Philharmonic Track allows students to audition for both All-Region and All-State

1) If you select the String Orchestra track, prepare the All-Region Packet and attend the scheduled All-Region Audition

2) If you select the Symphony/Philharmonic Orchestra Track, prepare the All-Region Packet and the All-State Orchestra Excerpts 

1) For students in the Symphony/Philharmonic Track, attend the scheduled All-Region Audition. If you are placed within a certain number of chairs in the Symphony Orchestra, you will be eligible to record for All-State
2) For the All-State audition, prepare the All-State excerpts and etudes to be recorded for a virtual judging process

Note: The All-Region Packet and All-State Excerpts will be provided to you by Mrs. Daniels in August 2024

UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest

1) The High School UIL Solo/Ensemble Contest has two levels: Regional and State. 
2) To participate in the competition, fill out the entry form for the competition and pay the fee of $12.50
3) Then, select a solo between grades 1 through 3, grade 1 being the highest level of difficulty

1) Students have the option of choosing solo, ensemble, or both events
1) To advance to the state level of UIL Solo/Ensemble, you must select a Grade 1 solo/ensemble piece and receive a rating of 1 during the regional contest. 
2) If you receive a rating of 1, you will receive a gold medal

1) If you qualify for the UIL state competition, otherwise known as TSSEC, congratulations!
2) TSSEC is held in various sites in the Austin area
3) Be on the lookout for more detailed emails from Mrs. Daniels about TSSEC
